DALLAS, TX -- One week after filling in for an injured Collin Drafts in the second half of the Vigilantes 55-52 loss at Alabama, Dallas quarterback BJ Hall is set to start his first ever game tomorrow when his team looks to put an end to a frustrating seven-game losing streak.
Hall, a native of St. Petersburg, Florida, was signed by Dallas early in the 2010 season after Shane Stafford suffered a season-ending foot injury. In his first action of the season last week, Hall rushed for 42 yards and a touchdown and completed 16-of-31 passes for 155 yards with three touchdowns.
Now Hall and the rest of the Vigilantes will go against an Oklahoma City team that they defeated nearly two months ago and still stands as their only victory of the season. In that contest both teams went on 21-0 runs in the second quarter but Dallas was fortunate enough to outscore the Yard Dawgz 20-0 in the first quarter and prevailed 55-34.
Dallas is still searching for their first road victory in team history as well as Coach Fuller’s first win as the interim head coach.
The Yard Dawgz (3-7) are coming off a bye week but prior to that had lost four out of their past five games. Dallas will need to slow down the passing attack of Tommy Grady (230-of-364, 7 interceptions, 2,777 yards and 53 touchdowns).
Kickoff for Saturday’s game is set for 7:30 p.m. and can be seen on NiftyTV.com.
